Valentine’s Day at ESMV was not just about romance this year; it was a vibrant celebration of the bonds that make our school community unique. On February 14th, the hallways were transformed into a sea of red, pink, and white, as students and faculty alike embraced the spirit of the day.
This year’s festivities were organized by the Student Council, who worked tirelessly to ensure that everyone felt included. One of the highlights was the “Friendship Grams” initiative, where students could send personalized notes and small treats to their peers. Over 500 grams were delivered during advisory periods, sparking smiles and laughter across all grade levels.
In the cafeteria, the culinary club prepared a special “Heart-to-Heart” lunch featuring themed desserts, while the music department provided a soundtrack of classic love songs and modern hits during the break intervals. The atmosphere was electric, filled with the warmth of shared experiences and the joy of simple gestures.
“It’s important to take a moment and realize how much we care for one another,” said a senior student during the lunch break. “Sometimes we get so caught up in classes that we forget to appreciate the people standing right next to us. Today reminded us of that.” As the day drew to a close, the sense of community was stronger than ever, proving that love and friendship are truly the heart of ESMV.

El 14 de febrero, los pasillos se transformaron en un mar de rojo, rosa y blanco, mientras estudiantes y profesores por igual abrazaban el espíritu del día.
Las festividades de este año fueron organizadas por el Consejo Estudiantil, que trabajó incansablemente para asegurar que todos se sintieran incluidos. Uno de los puntos destacados fue la iniciativa de los "Friendship Grams", donde los estudiantes podían enviar notas personalizadas y pequeños detalles a sus compañeros. Se entregaron más de 500 mensajes durante los períodos de asesoría, provocando sonrisas y risas en todos los niveles de grado.
“Es importante tomarse un momento y darse cuenta de cuánto nos preocupamos los unos por los otros”, dijo un estudiante de último año durante la pausa del almuerzo. “A veces estamos tan absortos en las clases que olvidamos apreciar a las personas que tenemos al lado. Hoy nos recordó eso”. Al final del día, el sentido de comunidad era más fuerte que nunca, demostrando que el amor y la amistad son verdaderamente el corazón de ESMV.
